Founder Tom Carlson



Tom's private lessons are normally one hour in length. His Signature Series of lessons are five hour's in one day. Tom's philosophy is good fundamentals create great golf swings. He has been awarded numerous times for his teaching success with junior golfers as well as adults. Tom currently is ranked in the top ten teachers in Nevada and the top fifty junior instructors in the world. Tom's passion is to share his knowledge of the golf swing. He loves to see how students improve once they have the overall knowledge of the swing. He believes golf is not a hard game to play well, if you have the time to practice and the understanding of the swing. Tom has proven his theories to be correct over the past thirty-seven years of teaching and would love nothing more than to share them with you. AManda Carlson
Amanda Carlson might be the best young female teacher in the country. Amanda has been developing her teaching techniques for the past decade. Using a blend of technology and time tested drills to achieve positions in the golf swing that will allow her students to take their game to the highest level. Amanda is available for Adult or Junior Private lesson daily at the Angel Park Golf Academy.

 Amanda is also in charge of the instructional portion of our Junior Development Program. Amanda forms a unique bond of friend and instructor with all her students. Tatsuro Oshimoto


Tatsuro Oshimoto or "Tats" is not your traditional golf instructor. Since passing his PGA Playing Ability Test in 2005, he has been helping many golfers of all abilities to enjoy the game. His golf industry experience of over a decade is very unique including playing and teaching experience in the United States and Japan. Over the years, Tats has been influenced by Eastern and Western teaching techniques and have developed a unique methodology for helping golfers play to their true potential. By harmoniously using modern technology and traditional methods of teaching, Tats will provide each student with an in-depth understanding of the game and the exact steps needed for improvement.

Tats is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and holds a level 2 certification in Golf Biomechanics from the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).He has been a long time student of Tom Carlson before joining his teaching staff.

Aaron Pearsall
PGA apprentice program, level one certification and Titleist Performance Institute bio-mechanics.  My Philosophy is to focus on individual strengths, build confidence in shot making that directly translates onto the course, and minimizing misses. My focus is on time tested fundamentals along with new technology that makes understanding the golf swing easier. My passion has been teaching people how to play better golf  and have fun while doing it. 
 
 
Rex Lindquist


Hello everyone!! I am excited to be a member of the great staff at the Angel Park Golf Academy. My time in golf includes 30+ years playing experience with over 15 years playing tournament golf both as an amateur and professionally. Instructor at The First Tee of Southern Nevada, work at 4 area courses, the most recent being assistant professional at Bali Hai golf club, UNLV Golf Management, Level 3 PGA.

Creating a positive learning environment with a focus on the fundamentals of the swing, short game and putting are incorporated in each lesson. Building confidence and a golf swing that will both hold up under pressure and transfer to the golf course is a goal we can achieve together.

Christopher Howard
Christopher began his career in the golf industry at Forest Greens Golf Club in his native Woodbridge, Virginia, where he spent several years teaching junior golf. He then moved on to Lakewood Golf Club in New Orleans, home of 28 New Orleans Opens. Christopher was an instructor with the Lakewood Junior Program lead by 2008 PGA National Junior Golf Leader Jimmy Headrick. The Lakewood Junior Program was featured several times on the Golf Channel for playing host to Guan Tian Lang, who at 13 years of age was the youngest player to ever make the cut at The Masters. Most recently Christopher led the player development program at Jacaranda Golf Club in Plantation Florida. During his time at Jacaranda he led the Broward County Junior Golf Association's instructional program.

Christopher is currently a level two PGA Apprentice. He recently became a U.S. Kids Golf Certified instructor as well as Positive Coaching Alliance Certified.
